state of the me address
i just got off the fone w/ the hr person from tallan, and basically, i shouldn't be getting my hopes up right now. i aced the interview process, so they'll extend an offer if i'm needed. if i'm needed. the thing is, some projects of theirs are coming to a close, and they're renegotiating contracts w/ clients, so they may be allocating some consultants from other offices over to the l.a. area... which translates to "we didn't want to get your hopes up" (exact words). so, my hopes are shot down right now. she said that she needs to talk to the director of the l.a. office to see if i'm needed or not. rather than keep the timeline open ended, i asked if she could get back to me within 2 days. so on thursday, i'm giving her a call to see where i stand after this > one month ordeal.

in lighter news, i bought a gamecube, 4 controllers, a memcard, and what will be 2 video games: madden 2k3 and super monkey ball 2. i'm waiting on ebgames.com to send me my $50 rebate so i can go get SMBall 2. madden 2k3 is purty nice. game on.
