i love it

this weekend has got to be one of the best in my history as a football fan.

on saturday, umich toolshed'd notre dame. just brilliant. we played like a team possessed. like i said in my previous post, henne for heisman. sure, mario has the speed and all that, but henne was throwing dimes all day. if it weren't for dropped passes by breaston and arrington, the game would have been even more delightful.

on sunday, the 9ers outplayed the rams on both sides of the ball. most impressive to me was the defense, but having a 100+ yd run game and a semblance of an attacking passing game was very nostalgic. norv turner is turning alex smith into something good, but i'm still not sold that smith was the best decision for the 9ers. until smith wins a few games in last minute drives will i jump on any smith bandwagon. mike singletary as a players coach for our D is already helpful. expect good things from our 2nd level.

yay.

...okay...it was a great game against notre dame...and henne did play very well...but heisman talk is ridiculous...he's not even the most valuable player on his own offense...i'd definitely go mike hart for heisman before henne...all the games i've seen henne play in his career brings me to the conclusion that he's only slightly better than navarre was...they both suffer from the same problems...and when they have good receivers, they look terrific...hart for heisman...or lamar woodley...that guy might be freaky good eventually...
