rice?

Nolan cool on Rice's San Fran return

wtf? just take him in and make him our 4th receiver... he still can run one of the best slant routes in football... nolan better do well this year.

alas... at least we're beefing up our aging o line (picking up baas [go blue] and synder). i don't understand gore from miami...

...i didn't understand the baas thing so much...he's a good player but they do have more pressing needs...like wr...but baas will be solid...

...frank gore...if healthy...he'll be a good rb...and well, eventhough barlow is somewhat productive...they don't have depth at rb...and a healthy gore is actually an upgrade i think...i like that pick...depending on health...

in other news...i give detroit an A+ for mike williams and shaun cody...though not a need, can't pass up on the best player available...and the receiving corp now becomes the most difficult matchup in the league...and shaun cody is just a good defensive lineman...the rest of the picks...we'll see what happens...

the question is, why have 3 stellar young wr's? is one on the way out? depth in just 1 position isn't a good thing. having a backup qb for detroit seems the wiser move. heh.

detroit did trade into round five for dan orlovsky to be their #3qb...good arm strength...projected to be a third rounder but fell into the fifth...so they have their qb depth chart set...will harrington perform?...thats an entirely different question...but it not all his fault and well, with the 3 plus kevin jones, he better perform...

as far as the 3wr's...it is insurance on the off-chance that rogers goes down again...and roy williams did play with a bad sprain for the second half of last year...but the fact is...they are all signed for at least the next three years...and the cap doesn't become an issue until players reach their second contracts...and if they all are healthy, and considering they are all physically freaky, they should be...then watch out...potentially the best offense in the league...
