i'm ready to leave school. i'm not learning anything new from professors... i would love to continue on to grad school, but i need to find someone that is doing the work i want to be doing... prof. lewis is close, but his interests have gone away from comp sci and closer to linguistics (in the domain of cognitive science).

i think the only good thing that'll come of my last semester at school is my 592 project. i'm comparing ALCOVE (Attention Learning COVEring map: a neural-net derivative learning algorithm) against mean field sigmoid belief networks in spam filtering. but seriously... i'm not motivated anymore. i want to hit fast-forward and blur things by. except hanging out with people. i wish i had more time for people. i hate busywork that is school.
