Can you handle life?

i'm sick of the "idealists" thinking that they can reason and think their way out of life in general. if you can stomach all this crap and still feel that we have no right for our troops to be over there to maintain order and law, i say, get out of that protected little life of yours and go over there, give yourself up to the iraqi insurgents, and then reason with them. let's see where idealism takes you.

when will people understand the rationale for our action isn't one dimensional. we didn't go just to overthrow a despot and his regime. we didn't go over to just protect our interests. we didn't go over just to take care of daddy's unfinished business. when your gov't is asked by the world community to do a lot of the dirty work, you still have to reason with your own homeland interests in mind. if we're going to send our boys over to keep the peace in a country that can't handle itself (not a reference to iraq), of course we'll rank order the world's list of requests by our interests. if there's oil there, we'll go there. if there's a lower number of enemy allies, we'll do it. there is always more than one reason to go to war. i'm pragmatic about how our lobbyist funded gov't operates. we'll do the work, but we better damn well get something for it.

bah.. i could go on and on, but i'm done.... i'm just pissed that they beheaded my fellow south korean.
