well... i'm done with my round of upgrades as soon as my ultra160 scsi cable comes in. the freak'n cable costs me $22. that's the cheapest i could find. sometimes i question my reasoning as to why i went scsi in the first place... then i see my 160MB/s burst rating and then i smile and forget the whole thing.

one thing changed from what i stated below. the better altec lansing system (5100) went on sale, so i went ahead and bought them and returned the 251's. my rig is the perfect personal dvd viewing machine. to celebrate, i bought cowboy bebop: the movie, band of brothers boxed set and amelie. had to max out my employee discount at cc since i quit!

the case is absolutely fabulous. the thing is, the cpu cooler that min gave me doesn't sit right... i tried switching it to my older one, but that sucks worse. so i reverted back to min's. i'm in the middle of some cpu stress testing. it's staying steady at the mid 40's (C).

i've realized that my computers are my cars. i like to fix them up and throw bits of money at it. i will eventually get into cars soon tho. no rice for me, thank you. give me a challenger or a vintage mustang instead.
