// talking
so i got fed up with my cell phone's battery life, and i started shoping around. initially, all indications from sprint pcs were saying that i wasn't eligible for upgrade discounts and i would have to fork over the $130 for the samsung A460. i wasn't having any of that. btw, i do like the a460, moreso than the pcs vision fones. the cameras and color displays are a waste of battery life. the essentials for me is a calender, voice memo, alarm and "be a good freak'n fone". so anyways..

i try going into the local sprint store and talk with one of the sales reps. they can't do jack for me, and they said that i should come back in august when i'm eligible for discount on a new fone. i say.. <cartman>screw you guys, i'm goin' heeunh</cartman>..

i call *2 to get my pcs customor support. i'm talking with some chick, explaining my situation. i know how to sell things, and i know how to talk when it comes to bargaining. i laid out my needs..... i laid out sprint pcs's needs.... i laid out the fact that i've been a dutiful payer of the monthy service fees for well over 5 years now for them. i told them that i was paying the jacked up prices early on in my service agreement, and i should get some recompense for the said "bend over"-ing that i was subjected to during that time (euphamistically stated of course)... i told her other companies are willing to give me a very good free fone because they aren't in the business of selling fones, rather they are in the service business... it was beautiful.

eventually, i could have sold her the brooklyn bridge. i actually got her on my side, and all that good stuff. she couldn't help but give in.. hehe... i even apologized to her as a person.. hehehehhe. games i tell ya.

end result: a FREE samsung A460 (not even shipping and taxes and account transfer fees) AND (yes, i even got more than what i was hoping for) a better plan: 300 anytime minutes and unlimited nights and weekend minutes where the night starts at 8pm as opposed to 9pm for ppl.. all for the grand spank'n total of $30 a month.

maybe i should go into business or law or politics. i can talk.
