Dear Mr. Yi:

It gives me great pleasure to inform you that we have recommended you for admission to the Masters Degree program in the Computer Science and Engineering Graduate Program at the University of Michigan for the Fall 2003 term. Your application has been forwarded with our recommendation to the Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies, they will advise you officially regarding your admission status (in a few weeks when processing is complete).

I am sorry we are not able to offer you departmental support at this time. Each year we receive more requests from qualified applicants than we are able to honor. All financial aid applicants are considered for fellowships and research or teaching assistantships. If you choose to attend next academic year, you would be able to re-apply for aid in your second and later years of study.

To assist you in your planning for the Fall, you should know that counseling and course registration will take place August 29, 2003. Classes begin September 2, 2003.

We are looking forward to having you in the Program. Please let us know if we can be of any help to you, or provide you with any further information.

Sincerely,

Professor Quentin F. Stout
Graduate Admissions Chair
Computer Science and Engineering
